UPDATE ON AMGALAN (4/2009):
A big thanks to all who generously donated towards the travels costs for our Mongolian friend and language teacher, Amaglan to come to U.S for much-needed medical treatment for a prosthetic leg.
Special Thanks to Barr Foundation Amputee Assistance Fund (BFAAF) and New Jersey-based prosthetist, Carey Glass, CPO, LPO, FAAOP who arranged for Amaglan to have a new custom-made fabricated prosthesis – all at no cost to her.
A three-part series of articles on her experience/medical treatment in the U.S is now online on the website of The O&P Edge:
From Mongolia to the US, Part One
A Journey of Hope Continues, Part Two
From Mongolia to America, Part Three
Thanks very much.
